The Super Grand Prix (SGP) is a fun weekend event, consisting of top quality coaching, evening social and competitive racing. Developed to fill the gap identified by UKLA Members as part of the regular survey programme.

This event is primarily aimed at club sailors, but not exclusively so, valuing diversity in the fleet, encouraging all ages, gender and rigs to come together to celebrate everything that is the ILCA/Laser, with the emphasis on fun. Helping to grow and sustain a healthy ILCA club base across the regions, building confidence to take an active part, create ambassadors, whilst helping sailors develop skills and ability to get the most out of their sailing.

Training at this event is cheaper for members of UKLA so if you are looking to do more events throughout the year, it's worth signing up as a UKLA member first.

You can select to book for training only (Saturday), Racing only (Sunday). We encourage all to take an advantage of quality training on Saturday and coach support during racing. Super Grand Prix entries are normally handled by UKLA, however, as a one off this event will be managed by the club To sign up, please visit Carsington website.
